We’re closing out the month with one of our most popular Friday Series specials. Steak frites: a juicy cut of steak, crisp skin-on chips, and a rich peppercorn sauce. It’s a familiar favourite and one that tends to fill the room, so booking ahead is recommended.
This week in our Friday Series, our BBQ ribs are back - a messy one and a little reminder that we don’t take ourselves too seriously. But don’t mistake these for pub grub…
All that oozes is good. Our lunch menu has had a little refresh and it’s gone in a slightly more generous direction. There are still all the things you’d expect, just with a bit more melting, dripping and general indecency in the middle.

Winter Midweek Menu
Our midweek menu is back for its winter edition. For those who haven’t come across it before, it’s a set menu - three courses for £32 - and it’s comfortably the best value we offer. The idea is simple: proper cooking, generous portions, and no corners cut. The menu changes regularly, led by what’s tasting good right now, and it’s served Monday to Friday throughout the winter.
The Friday Series
Every Friday we do something a little different. Sometimes it’s a night built around a cuisine we want to explore, other times it’s the return of a Cartford classic from years past. Most Fridays also feature live music. They’ve become the evenings where the inn feels at its most relaxed and sociable.
To avoid confusion: our regular à la carte menu is available on all of these nights - our themed nights pertain only to our specials list.
