The River House
We host private celebrations in our River House, a dedicated events space just steps from the inn but very much its own place. With exposed brick, eclectic art, folding glass doors and a terrace that opens onto wide views of the River Wyre, it feels both striking and intimate.
Inside, the River House is warm, characterful and designed for gatherings that matter. It’s yours alone for the duration of your celebration, seating between 12 and 30 guests for a private lunch or dinner.
Food & Drink
Depending on the size of your party, you’ll either enjoy a tailored seasonal set menu or the freedom to choose à la carte from our latest restaurant dishes. Menus can be adapted to suit all tastes and requirements, with the same focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Throwing a party at The Cartford and don’t fancy the journey home? We get it. With thirteen bedrooms and two treehouse-style lodges, you can stay put and let the night run its course. For private celebrations, we’ll reserve the rooms you need for your party, so the only decision left is who’s first to breakfast.
