Seasonal Menus
Rooted in Lancashire, with a nod to France, our menus are rustic, seasonal, and all about flavour. We work closely with local producers and grow ingredients in our riverside garden, creating a style of cooking that reflects our landscape and our values: honest, thoughtful, and distinctly Cartford.
Sunday Lunch
We don’t do a set Sunday lunch menu. Instead, we offer a selection of Sunday specials, available alongside our usual à la carte menu. That means you can go traditional with roast beef and all the trimmings, or opt for something a little different if the mood takes you.
We serve all day with no breaks, 12–6pm.
AfternoonTea
Afternoon tea at The Cartford is relaxed, but nothing’s done by halves. You’ll be seated in our main restaurant, with views of the river and plenty of peace to take your time. Every part of the experience is homemade and carefully considered, from the selection of finger sandwiches to the house-baked scones served warm with jam and clotted cream.
Private Dining
Just steps from the inn, our River House is a striking yet intimate space with exposed brick, eclectic art and a terrace overlooking the River Wyre. It’s available exclusively for your celebration, seating 12–30 guests for private lunches or dinners.
