We’re getting down and dirty...
This Friday, for the first time, we are bringing a seafood boil to The Cartford. A tradition born in America’s Deep South, it arrives on the Fylde Coast for one night only.
What is it?
For those not in the know, a seafood boil is a feast cooked in one large pot. A rich stock is seasoned generously with Old Bay, the classic American seafood spice blend, along with lemon and garlic. The ingredients are then added in stages, from new potatoes and smoked sausage to sweetcorn and finally the seafood, so that each one is cooked to perfection and soaks up all that smoky, peppery, gently warming flavour. The whole lot is then finished with a generous coating of garlic butter.
You will find it on our Specials List tomorrow evening from 5:30pm, alongside our usual menus.
See you this Friday, friends!
