The Cartford Chip Shop returns on Friday 27th February.
This Friday, we’re going back to our roots. The sort that once led Jay Rayner to describe our cooking as part of the “gravy moderne movement” - a fondness for comforting British classics, tidied up just enough for polite company. This week, we’re leaning firmly in that direction.
The Cartford Chippy Tea returns.
A small celebration of the great British chip shop tradition, and an evening where elastic waistbands - and a certain moral flexibility at dinnertime - are actively encouraged.
As ever, we’ll be going full throttle with the proper line-up: fish and chips, suet pudding and chips, and all the essential sides that make a chippy tea what it ought to be.
Soundtracking the evening are customer favourites Misty Reprise, bringing their usual mix of rock ’n’ roll, rockabilly and country to carry things nicely into the night.
See you Friday.
As usual, our à la carte menu runs alongside.
