A Cartford Stay, Your Way

The Inn was made to be explored—welcoming, full of detail, and designed with curiosity in mind. From riverside rooms and creative dining spaces to a working kitchen garden, independent deli and curated gallery, every corner reflects our way of doing things—thoughtful, individual, and full of character. Here’s what you’ll find on our grounds, and how to make the most of your time with us.

Accommodation

Each of our 15 rooms has its own character—designed with natural materials, rich textures and a sense of calm. From handpicked furniture to open-plan bathrooms and soft, layered lighting, every detail is considered. A place to rest, recharge, and take things slowly.

Restaurant & Bar

Our restaurant offers a distinct dining experience, with art-filled spaces layered in texture, colour and character. From fireside suppers to lively evenings at the bar, every corner is designed to help you unwind, settle in, and savour the moment.

TOTI - Our Delicatessen

Born out of The Cartford Inn’s kitchen, TOTI (short for Taste of the Inn) is where our love of good food and drink continues beyond the restaurant. It’s a space to browse, graze, and pick up a little something to take home—whether that’s a jar of our house-made marmalade, a loaf of freshly baked sourdough, or a bottle of our own-label wine. TOTI also has its own website, so you can have your favourites delivered straight to your door.

Cartford Gallery

One of our two on-site shops, The Cartford Gallery reflects the aesthetic of the Inn—thoughtfully curated, full of character, and a little unexpected. You’ll find pieces from our own rooms and dining spaces available to buy, alongside artisan homeware and handmade jewellery by local designer Tanicia Hayton. Think of it as an extension of your stay, ready to take home.

River Garden

Set along the riverbank, our garden plays a quiet but important role in daily life at the Inn. It’s where much of our produce is grown—carefully tended by our grounds team and picked fresh for the kitchen. From herbs and greens to fruit and flowers, it all makes its way from garden to plate, often on the same day.
