AA Inn Of The Year: Best In The Country

“The difference between something good and something great is attention to detail.” — Charles R. Swindoll

We’ve been fortunate to receive a few lovely accolades over the years — but this one is the biggest yet.

Earlier this year, we were thrilled to be named AA Inn of the Year for England. That news came through the post, and frankly, we thought it couldn’t get any better than that. A huge moment for our team and a real mark of recognition for what we’ve built here.

Then came another letter — this time inviting us down to London for the national AA Hospitality Awards, celebrating the best of the best across the UK. We were nominated for Inn of the Year for the whole of Great Britain.

So, a few of us headed to the capital. Dressed to the nines, slightly out of our depth, and cautiously optimistic. Credit where it’s due, Alex’s pink suit jacket stole the show (and a fair bit of the spotlight). It drew enough attention that we joked if we didn’t win, at least we’d leave with the title of Best Dressed. A fair trade.

But then our name was called.

AA Inn of the Year, England & Great Britain.

We were absolutely thrilled. Shocked, really. But mostly proud.

This award is a reflection of every early morning, every late night, every detail we’ve obsessed over — and every guest, local or visiting, who’s chosen to spend time with us. We’re incredibly grateful to our customers old and new, our brilliant local suppliers, and our incredible team who bring energy, warmth and personality to the place day in, day out.

What started as a vision — to create something genuinely special, rooted in place but unafraid to be bold — is being realised. We’ll keep pushing. We’ll keep evolving. And we’ll continue doing our bit to put Lancashire on the map.

Thank you for helping us get here. We’ll never take it for granted.
