This August bank holiday weekend sees the inaugural Fylde Food & Farm Festival take place. This is the first such event, arranged by the organisers of the annual Fylde Vintage and Farm Show that we attended earlier in the summer. It promises a great day out with something for everyone.
This emphasis of this festival is on great regional food and its connection with farming, the Lancashire countryside and nature. The show will therefore host a wide range of outstanding food and drink producers and stalls selling food and drink, together with exhibitors from organisations such as Lancashire Wildlife, the RSPB and The Bee People.
There will also be a small fairground, displays of farm animals and machinery, a beer tent with live music and activities for children.
The Cartford Inn will also be there demonstrating some new recipes. Come along to the beer tent at 2.00pm each day to learn how to cook a flavour of the inn for yourself at home.
The festival is open Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10am to 5pm each day.
