Sherry & Small Plates

Think you know about Sherry? Think again!  A new wave of sherrylovers are revitalising a drink which is steeped in history, yet is one of the most versatile wines in the world. This Sherry renaissance is being celebrated during International Sherry Week, from 6th – 12th November, a worldwide fiesta celebrating the range of unique Sherry Wines of Southern Spain. It’s an an opportunity for foodies and wine aficionados to discover more about these food friendly wines.

We will be hosting a Sherry Week Dinner on Wednesday the 8th of November and will be joined by award winning Sherry producer Valdespino.  They are one of the oldest family owned bodegas in Jerez, with a history of sherry producing going back six centuries and are renowned for their single vineyard wines and VORS (Very Old Rare Sherries).

The evening will provide the opportunity to sample a range of these wonderful sherries, paired with a specially prepared tapas menu, showing just how well these wines can accompany foods from all over the globe. So throw away your preconceptions and come and join the Sherry Revolution!
