Returning to the Cartford Inn for a night of music, stories and unique wit, this is a night not to be missed. Singer/songwriter James Tattington began performing as Fugitive Orchestra after a chance-encounter with a J.G. Ballard novel. Fusing together Beatboxing, Live-Looping and Guitar, Fugitive Orchestra makes music best described as Alternative Jazz-infused, Bluesy Hip-Pop; drawing inspiration from the likes of Elvis Costello, Andrew Bird, LCD Soundsystem, Paul Simon and not being anything like Holden Caulfield.
In the number of years James has been performing as Fugitive Orchestra, his exciting live show has won him appearances at a variety of festivals, including Isle of Wight and Victorious Festival, and he has performed at music venues up and down the country.
In addition to songwriting and performing live, James has also composed soundtracks for a number of short-films and continues to work on genre-spanning instrumental music.
After releasing an EP last Summer to mutters of approval from a variety of music-appreciators and garnering airplay on BBC Introducing, James is currently working on a follow-up, to be released in late-November 2017.
We are very excited to announce that James will be back at the inn to perform a one-off gig as Fugitive Orchestra in our River House venue and we’d like to invite you to attend. As well as a brilliant show, we will also be serving food.
We hope you can join us for what will certainly be a captivating evening's entertainment. Tickets are limited, so book soon to avoid disappointment on 01995 670166.
