Chris Bury, Head chef
Chris Bury has now been Head Chef at the Cartford Inn for four years. His previous employment includes: Claridges and Heston Blumenthal's The Fat Duck, amongst many other prestigious kitchens. Chris has spent several years travelling, experience that he has channelled to help bring the pub two rosettes and features in the exclusive Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastro Pubs list. His culinary work has lead to features on the Great British Chef’s and BBC Good Food due to his inherent focus, passion for Lancashire’s flavours, and a strong insistence upon great quality local produce. Chris’ kitchen is about classic French cooking techniques teamed with modern British flavours - taking on board Lancashire and its gastronomic gifts, and cooking with real honesty.
Chris has been named a Taste Lancashire Ambassador, in recognition of his culinary excellence and support of the county's Taste Lancashire activities, that champion Lancashire food and drink nationally and internationally.
